5 Steps to Staying Connected
Create Account and Login
Visit canvas.ccsd.net and create your account by clicking on the 'Parents Get Accounts too' button. Fill out the information fields in the popup window, including the pairing code for your child. Finish by clicking the 'Start Participating' button.
Set Notification Preferences
Canvas allows you to set your preference for notifications. You can even add a phone number for text alerts if you prefer them over emails. The notifications will help you stay informed in your child's progress in the course.
Support Your Child
Helping your child navigate the course and submit assignments can really boost their confidence in learning in the digital classroom. Students can learn how to use Canvas in 10 steps.
Canvas Parent app enhances the potential for parents to engage in their children's education. Parents can review upcoming or past assignments, check on grades, and receive alerts for student activity. Canvas Parent can be used by any Canvas user with an observer account. It is available for:
